Compare the first of this months views, taken on 3 June, with the one taken a few days earlier, on 30 May
, and you realise that I've managed to make a start on clearing the lilies, with some further minor progress able to be seen in the photos taken on 18th and 30th of the month.
The trouble is, at this time of year cut lilies re-grow, so the job never looks complete.
You'll also notice how much taller the vegetation is generally. By the end of the month the dyke is almost completely obscured and the "long barrow", on the island, has disappeared.
